I am so excited to share this link with you.  Our Shelf Reliance Catalog is available on-line as a PDF.  Why is that exciting? Well you can browse through the catalog right on your computer which when browsing is often easier.  PLUS you could put this onto your iPhone, iTouch, iPad... or any other device that reads PDF files and be able to check out the catalog anytime. Ok maybe I am the only one who would want it available anytime, but since I was so excited I thought I would share it with you!

We have food!

Our shipping has been delayed but luckily it's NOT because of any back orders.

Here is the official letter from corporate explaining our delays.

"Will you please let your customer know that we typically keep a 2-3 month supply of food at all times (unless there are items that are more difficult to get, resulting in back orders). We do not anticipate any food shortages. The backup with shipping is solely due to the very high amount of orders we have been receiving. We are shipping as fast as possible, but it is taking about a week for orders to go out.
Shelf Reliance is working 24 hours/day to fill the recent demand of food orders. Even Fed Ex can't keep up with us. We thank you for your patience with this matter and we hope to catch up real soon. In April we should be moving to our new facility which will be able to handle the huge increase in production along with being able to freeze-dry our own foods on site with great quality control."

Monday Menu

It has been quite some time since I posted anything, but our menu this week is THRIVE oriented so wanted to post it here.  We went to Utah last weekend (President's Day weekend) for a Shelf Reliance conference - it was SO much fun and we learned SO much.  That conference has dramatically adjusted our cooking - it has been so easy! I love not having to remember to take something out of the freezer - just go to our "store" and grab it off the shelf.

So for this week we are having...

Sunday - Chicken Taco Soup (used all THRIVE) including their new Instant Beans (ready in 20 minutes and no sodium!)  We also made a version of this soup with the taco TVP - Adam preferred this version, I liked the Freeze Dried Chicken version. 

Monday - Leftovers (we made a few things last week that we still have some of - BBQ Chicken & Cornbread - all made in the crockpot; and Shepard's Pie - using the Freeze Dried Ground Beef)

Tuesday - Broccoli Potato Cheese Soup (an entree from THRIVE)

Wednesday - Beef Stroganoff (using THRIVE) This is from a recipe in their new cookbook!

Thursday - Enchilada Bake (ummm... you guessed it using THRIVE - it really is that good!)  This is also in the new cookbook

Friday - Cooking demonstration at our place
